Pizza Night Out @ La Pizzaiola

20 Nov

A few of my colleagues and I went to La Pizzaiola for dinner. It is a modern Italian restaurant tucked in a remote corner of the landed residential area in Serangoon. It serves a variety of pasta and pizzas. The restaurant was already crowded when we arrived, luckily, we’ve already made a reservation.

We ordered 3 regular pizzas to share. The pizzas were really good but I can’t say the same to their service. We were served by an Italian (we think) waiter. As we were not too sure of how to pronounce the Italian names of the pizzas, my colleague jokingly pointed the dishes to him and said 1, 2, 3… The waiter seemed to find that gesture irritating and chided my colleague for not being able to order properly. We were really surprised by the waiter’s reaction and that kind of spoilt our night. He then asked us what water we want and served us bottled still water that cost about SGD 6. Not much later, another waiter served us normal ice water which cost nothing!

All in all, I’ll say go for the food but call the right waiter to serve you! 😉

Pizzas ordered:

  • Verdure (SGD 14.90)
  • Bufalina (SGD 16.90)
  • Rucola Parma (SGD 16.90)
